Licensed BREEAM Assessor to carry out BREEAM Assessments

BREEAM 2011 is the world's longest established and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings.

It was created and is policed by the BRE. BREEAM assessments are carried out by licensed assessors.

HOW IS BREEAM USED?

It is the UK Government's chosen method for judging the sustainability of commercial development projects.

Although not mandatory for discharge of Building Regulations, it is a requirement of many Local Planning Authorities, Funding organisations and Institutional tenants.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

BREEAM assesses the performance of buildings over nine areas:

Health & Well-being
Energy
Transport
Water Use
Materials
Waste
Ecology & land Use
Pollution

Credits are awarded in each area according to performance and together with an environmental weighting a single overall score is produced. Producing a rating of PASS , GOOD, VERY GOOD, EXCELLENT or OUTSTANDING.
